Tiger Woods
and ex-wife Elin Nordegren have been through the ringer since the former couple first met at the Open Championship in 2001.

The duo’s love story started off promising, with the pair getting engaged two years after they first crossed paths. They said their “I dos” in October 2004 and soon welcomed two children: daughter Sam and son Charlie.

Six years into their marriage, however, things fell apart after Woods was involved in a bombshell cheating scandal. Woods admitted in fall 2009 that he’d been unfaithful and the couple finalized their divorce the following August.

Both parties have also since moved on with other partners. Woods started dating Erica Herman in 2017, though the pair split by late 2022. Nordegren revealed in June 2019 that she had found love again with former football pro Jordan Cameron, with whom she later welcomed kids Arthur, Zeta and Freya.

“Tiger and Elin are truly in a great place,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly in March 2023. “He’s been so great with the kids, and that really brought her around to having a friendship with Tiger.”

Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy had a vision to bring the game of golf from the greens to the screen by combining advanced technology. Thus the TGL was born; however, even before the new league could go on floors, it was constantly fraught with numerous challenges and hiccups, whether it be Jon Rahm’s withdrawal from the league or the collapse of the So-Fi Stadium Dome, which pushed the inaugural season to January 2025.

via Reuters

Amidst all the worries and chaos, Tiger Woods recently came up with a rather positive TGL update and even teased the unveiling of the three golfers who would join Mr.T’s team in the tech league.

Who are the three PGA Tour players joining Woods’s TGL team?

One of the main attractions of the league is its team format. TGL will have 24 PGA Tour players, who will be divided into 6 teams of four members each. The teams are named after six different cities, which are Atlanta Drive GC, Boston Common Golf, Los Angeles GC, New York GC, TGL San Francisco, and lastly Tiger Woods’s team, Jupiter Links GC.

The team is named after the Treasure Coast of Florida, Jupiter, which is renowned for its lighthouse, beautiful beaches, and best-in-class golf. Currently, it’s only Woods on the roster of the team. However, it looks like the other three members will soon be revealed, as he took to his official X handle (formerly known as Twitter) not so long ago and dropped an 11-second video.

The snippet consisted of four chairs on the Florida beach, with Woods’ name written on the leftmost chair. On the other hand, the other three chairs had blank spaces, which, according to the post, will be filled by Monday, April 22nd, as the caption of the tweet read, “Find out who’s going to be filling these chairs on Monday @TGL.”

The tease put up by Woods on the post left the fans wondering who the players would be competing with for the win. Some of them even put up their guesses in sheer excitement.

Golf fans share who they think will be a perfect fit for Tiger Woods’s TGL team

From Valero Texas Open winner Akshay Bhatia to already-teamed-up Rory McIlroy, the fans suspect all the possible permutations and combinations that can work up for the Jupiter Links Golf Club. To begin with, the golf community had rather unique guesses as to who would complete the team at Jupiter Links Golf Club. While one of them suggested, “Bhatia, Zalatoris, Burns”, another did not choose pro golfers and chose to list golf YouTubers and commented, “Is it, @RickShielsPGA, @PeterFinchGolf, and  @GuyCharnock???!!”

Rory McIlroy has already been elected as the first member of the Boston Common Golf. Despite that, one of them suggested that he would be tagging along with Tiger Woods in the team, besides Seamus Power and Shane Lowry. They wrote, “Rory, Shane & Seamus Power.”

Justin Thomas, Patrick Cantlay, Collin Morikawa, and many more have joined the TGL ranks. Yet, some of the very famous names were missing, including Bryson DeChambeau, Scottie Scheffler, and some other top contenders. Hinting that one of them might be his son Charlie Woods, and the others Bryson DeChambeau and Rickie Fowler, one of them hinted, “Dechambeau, Fowler, Charlie”.

However, there were some peculiar comments too, which were directed at his last few performances. Tiger Woods has indeed suffered one too many injuries, and taking into account the fact that the TGL is supposed to be played virtually, it makes one believe that this is his way of announcing his retirement. They wrote, “Are those retirement chairs? You’re the goat but cooked,” suggesting that it was time that he got off the field and took some rest.

An insider reveals Tiger Woods’ feelings about ex-wife Elin Nordegren

Tiger Woods, the golf legend, reportedly longs for a reunion with his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren. Recently, they reunited to support their son, Charlie, at his high school event.

Despite Elin moving on, Tiger still holds onto the hope of a second chance

On March 26, they came together to celebrate their son Charlie’s state championship win in golf at his high school in North Palm Beach, Florida. This sparked feelings of regret in Tiger about his past decisions. He said that he misses the life he had with Elin, especially given the rocky relationships he’s had since their split.

A source close to the pair spilled the beans, saying, “Tiger has huge regrets about letting his life with Elin slip through his fingers.”

“His relationships have been disastrous ever since they split, and he misses her,” the source added.

“He’s holding onto this fantasy that they might find their way back to each other,” the insider revealed. But let’s face it, Elin’s moved on, and she’s content with her current relationship.

In 2023, Tiger faced a lawsuit from his ex-girlfriend, Erica Herman.

Elin, on the other hand, has found happiness with former NFL player Jordan Cameron. She has been with him since 2017. They are now parents to three children: Zeta, Freya, and Arthur. Elin maintains a relationship with Tiger solely for their children’s sake.

Despite Elin’s contentment with her new life, Tiger can’t help but fantasise about a possible reunion. “She is very happy with Jordan and only maintains a relationship with Tiger for the sake of their kids,” said the source. “Not that that’s stopped him from this fantasy that they could still find their way back to each other.”

Tiger Woods made the cut at Augusta but struggled on the final weekend of the Masters tournament.

Tiger Woods can retreat to his £15m super yacht after his recent Masters attempt at Augusta

After four days of solid grind at Augusta National, golf icon Tiger Woods now has the rather luxurious option of retreating to his £15m super yacht for some rest and recovery.

The 48-year-old put in an admirable diplay at the Masters, keeping up his streak of making the cut at Augusta and setting a new record, with 24 consecutive cuts to the weekend’s play made.

But the course conditions and his bodily aches and strains would soon catch up with him, with Woods falling away over Saturday and Sunday and leaking shots across the course.

The iconic star, sporting his trademark Sunday red and black colours, returned to the clubhouse with a final scorecard of 16-over-par.

Woods has pledged to turn out for each of the majors in 2024, with the PGA Championship, the US Open and the Open Championship to follow.

And it happens to come in very handy that the sporting legend is in ownership of a luxury £15m super yacht, with which he can conduct his downtime while also working on his sporting fitness and rehabilitation.

While amassing a huge fortune during his wildly successful sporting career, Woods made the investment in adding the impressive liner to his property portfolio.

The American ace even jokingly referred to his amazing 155ft vessel as his “dinghy” in the past, though this is far from the case.

Woods’ yacht measures 6,500 sq ft and can sleep a total of ten guests in five state rooms throughout its complex.

There are also four cabins that house the ship’s nine crew members, along with additional spaces for general storage and maintenance items.

Additionally and perhaps most importantly, the yacht also comes with a fully-equipped gym on board boasting some of the most pioneering gadgets in the fitness industry.

It also has a three-person elevator to get between floors on the vessel, while the top deck provides a sizeable eight-person Jacuzzi and a bar for hosting guests.

Keeping up the costs on such an impressive and sizeable vessel is no mean feat, and it is estimated that around £1.5m per year is required to keep the super yacht running and fully operational.

The yacht also has a scuba station and external storage to carry three jet skis, two ocean kayaks and two Vespa scooters. The interior was initially decked out in cherry woodwork, though it is unknown whether the inside of the yacht has since been renovated or modified by the golf legend.

Yet while Woods is still chipping away in the world of professional golf, and maintaining he still believes he has one final major win in him, others are not so convinced.

Woods’ former rival Colin Montgomerie recently admitted his sadness that Woods did not bow out after the 2022 Open Championship on the hallowed turf of St Andrews Old Course

“I just wish Tiger had gone after he waved on that Swilken bridge at St Andrews a couple of years ago,” Montgomerie told talkSPORT.

“He’s kept going, he thinks he can do it but it’s quite obvious now physically and mentally, that he can’t.

“He’s competing once a month and it’s not enough. You can’t play once a month and hope to contend with these guys now. He finished the tournament 82-77. It’s not close, obviously and I wish he’d waved goodbye to the golfing word a couple of years ago.”

Tiger Woods’ 100th competitive round at the Masters was not a memorable one.

He shot a 5-over-par 77 and finish the tournament at 16-over par — the worst score he’s posted in his 26 career Masters, including the two he played as an amateur, in 1995 and ’96, and the worst 72-hole score of his pro career.

Woods, too, finished last among the 60 players who made the cut, two shots worse than 61-year-old Vijay Singh.

The 48-year-old legend, who’s won the green jacket five times, departed Augusta National quietly on Sunday and immediately set his sights on his next task: The PGA Championship next month at Valhalla in Kentucky.

“It was a good week all around,” Woods said. “Coming in here, not having played a full tournament in a very long time, it was a good fight on Thursday and Friday. Unfortunately, (Saturday) it didn’t quite turn out the way I wanted it to.

“Today, the way that Tom (Kim) is playing I thought I had in my system,” Woods went on, referring to Kim’s 6-under-par 66 in the final round. “Unfortunately, I didn’t produce it.”

But it was still a remarkably gutsy effort from Woods, who woke up at 3.45am to begin his physical preparations for a gruelling final round.

Neal Shipley, the low-amateur who played the final round with Woods, said afterwards: “Certainly rooting for him [Tiger Woods] and rooting for good golf shots. He was awesome. Wish him nothing but the best.

“I really appreciate all the work that he does to keep his body ready to come out here. He told me that he woke up at like 3:45 this morning just to get ready for the day, which is — I got about three hours more sleep than him.”

He added: “He’s really grinding and making a big commitment to be out here for everyone. It’s awesome to see the patrons really appreciative of him and really enjoy having him out here.”

Day forced to remove vest by Augusta? | 02:32

Woods entered the weekend at 1-over par, seven shots out of the lead, and declared that he was “right there” with a chance to “win the tournament.”

Then came his 10-over-par 82 in the third round Saturday, which dramatically derailed his chances.

By the time Woods put the finishing touches on his final round 77 Sunday, he was 23 shots out of the lead held by world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler.

Woods’ 16-over-par total eclipsed the 13-over he posted in 2022 as his worst finish in a year in which he made the cut.

The low point of Woods’ final round came on the fifth hole, where he lost a ball and took a triple-bogey, which dropped him into last place.

He did, however, produce a significant accomplishment by making the cut, breaking the tournament record with his 24th consecutive cut made.

“It’s always nice coming back here because I know the golf course; I know how to play it,” Woods said. “I can kind of simulate shots. This is a golf course I knew going into it. So, (now) I’m going to do my homework going forward at Pinehurst (where the U.S. Open will be played), Valhalla (the PGA) and Troon (British Open). That’s kind of the game plan.

“I heard there’s some changes at the next couple sites, so (I’ve) got to get up there early and check them out.”

Woods’ Masters week was only the second fill-field 72-hole tournament he’s completed in the past two years, adding to the 2023 Genesis Invitational.

What’s next?

“Just keep lifting, keep the motor going, keep the body moving, keep getting stronger, keep progressing,” he said. “Hopefully, the practice sessions will keep getting longer.”

The staggering wealth of golf icon Tiger Woods is so obscene that it trumps both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi’s net worth’s combined

Tiger Woods’ billionaire net worth is shockingly more than Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo’s combined.

The 15-time major champion became sports’ second-ever billionaire last season, joining the exclusive club that had just one member in NBA icon Michael Jordan.

Joined by LeBron James, Woods’ devastating dominance on the links as well as his lucrative sponsorships with Nike, Monster Energy, and Rolex has seen the 48-year-old pull in the big bucks off the course which has since become his biggest source of income following his part-time schedule on the PGA Tour.

According to Forbes, the American’s net worth sits at a staggering $1.3billion (£1bn) despite him placing just 16th on the world’s most paid athletes in Forbes’ 2023 edition as he raked in $75.1m (£59m) last year with only $15.1m (£11.9m) coming from his on-field earnings.

While Woods has been in the twilight era of his career for a decade, the golf legend is partial to an impressive performance here and there despite his part-time schedule, demonstrated by his stunning Masters victory in 2019, which was his first major win in 11 years.

Despite Woods’ doubling Messi and Ronaldo’s net worth’s, the football superstars’ are certainly no slouches when it comes to building an obscene level of wealth with the Argentine possessing a net worth of $650m (£512m) while the Al-Nassr star is slightly behind his rival with $600m (£472m).

However, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is slowly creeping up on the 2022 World Cup winner after Ronaldo earned the title of being the world’s most paid athlete in 2023, according to Forbes, as he earned $136m (£107m) with $90m (£71m) coming through off-the-field earnings.

The Inter Miami star placed second on the 2023 list as he brought home $130m (£102m) with an equal split of $65m (£51m) being earned on the football pitch and his outside endeavours.

The 36-year-old’s Miami contract was reportedly worth $150m (£118m) over two-and-a-half years with the potential of Messi having a future equity stake in the MLS franchise.

While the footballing greats are no longer plying their trade in Europe, they are continuing to put up numbers in Saudi Arabia and America, respectively, while Woods is preparing for a return to the Masters on Thursday (April 11).

It’ll be the first tournament for the 48-year-old who hasn’t swung a competitive club since the Genesis Open in February, as he’s only managed to participate in just eight events since surviving a near-fatal car wreck in 2021.

Tiger Woods has not played since withdrawing from the Genesis Invitational in February but has been spotted at Augusta National.

Tiger Woods was spotted practising at Augusta just a fortnight before the Masters begins. The 48 year old hasn’t competed since he withdrew from the Genesis Invitational in February due to flu.

Tiger Woods of the United States tees off the sixth hole during the second round of The Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country

Woods made a comeback earlier this month, playing in the Seminole Pro-Member with his friend and business partner Rory McIlroy. Unlike McIlroy, Woods didn’t participate in the Arnold Palmer Invitational or The Players Championship in order to further his recovery.

Recently, he played a round with Yasir Al-Rummayan, the governor of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, in The Bahamas, ahead of discussions about a merger between LIV Golf and the PGA Tour.

Now, Woods has been seen on a scouting mission at Augusta. His Gulfstream G550 jet was tracked flying into Augusta.

Sports Illustrated reported that he played with club chairman Fred Ridley and fellow pro Justin Thomas. Woods is listed for his 26th appearance at the tournament, which would be his second event of the year.

If he makes the cut, the five-time Masters winner will break a record. He’s made the cut 24 times in a row, starting in 1997 when he first won the Green Jacket.

Woods has only missed the cut once, in 1996.

Nearly 30 years later, he’s set to return. After saying he planned to play an event every month this year, Woods appears keen to makeup for not meeting those plans in March, except in Seminole.

“Once a month seems reasonable,” Woods said of his playing schedule last year. “It gives me a couple of weeks to recover and a week to tune up. Maybe I can get into the rhythm.”

It’s now almost a year since Woods admitted before the last Masters that he didn’t know how many more he could play. Days later, Woods pulled out halfway through the tournament because of an injury, after playing through torrential weather conditions.

He then had fusion surgery on his arthritic right ankle the following month.

Earlier this year, he said he was feeling good and offered a positive outlook on his health status. Woods shared: “My ankle doesn’t hurt any more – the bones aren’t rubbing any more.

“But then again it’s different – other parts of my body have to take the brunt of it, just like my back is fused, and so other parts of my body have taken the brunt of that.”

He had some trouble with back spasms at Riviera when he came back to the Tour, before later being taken sick with a bout of flu.

Tiger Woods and ex-wife Elin Nordegren were together again briefly Tuesday to celebrate their son Charlie and his state championship win in Florida.

The Benjamin School won the Class 1A state golf championship. The 15-year-old received a medal and a state championship ring. Photos showed Woods and Nordegren taking photos with Charlie.

It’s not the first time Woods and Nordegren were at the same place at the same time to support their son. Nordegren was at the Cognizant Classic pre-qualifier as Charlie tried in February to earn a spot in the PGA Tour event that happened later in the week.

However, Charlie shot an 86 and was unable to compete in the tournament.

Tiger was also back in the spotlight last year when his ex-girlfriend, Erica Herman, filed a lawsuit against him, alleging sexual assault.

A source close to Nordegren at the time the lawsuit was filed in March 2023 told People magazine she had “no interest” in the legendary golfer’s personal life.

“This aspect of Tiger’s life is not her concern,” the source close to Nordegren told the magazine. “She has no interest in his personal life or what happens with his various girlfriends. That part of her life was over a long time ago.”

Woods and Nordegren were a part of a high-profile split in 2010 when Woods revealed his infidelity following a single-vehicle crash near their Florida home. They have two children together, and the source told People their tensions have cooled in recent years for the sake of their children.

“She would never go back with him but likes that he is a good father. She has seen that over the years, which worked them into a good relationship. They co-parent pretty well,” the source told the magazine.

“Of course, she needs to be very confident that the children are safe and happy around anyone that Tiger is with, especially if the romance becomes serious,” the source added. “To that degree, she is very interested. But not on much else.”

The 15-year-old was competing at the Lost Lake Golf Club in Florida

Tiger Woods’
son, Charlie, is certainly growing up as he prepares to become a professional golfer but another indicator happened in a different way as a grandmother attempted to set him up on a date with her granddaughter.

The teenager is currently competing in a pre-qualifying round for the Cognizant Classic and shot 16-over 86 at the Lost Lake Golf Club in Florida, not far away from where his father regularly practices in Jupiter, FL.

Tiger Woods son shares mind-blowing similarities of his father

It’s believed that the senior woman pulled her granddaughter out of school so they could attend the golf event in the hope that he would “notice her” and become enamored at first sight and take her out on a date.

How did the fans interrupt him?

But as Woods attempted to qualify for his first ever PGA Tour event, a crowd member disrupted his flow. In fact, the crowd regularly interrupted him even though his father wasn’t present, as everyone ones to get a big closer to Tiger Woods.

To summarise how the atmosphere was, as he walked off from a hole, he said to his caddie, Jacob “JJ” Kutner, “That was some round, huh?”

One fan interrupted him by rushing to him with a pen and with a copy of How I Play Golf, the book written by his father, to get it signed but an official dismissed the request to do so.

Nonetheless, he should qualify for any PGA Tour pre-qualifier as Charlie Woods holds a +3 handicap index with the Florida State Golf Association although he didn’t manage to do so this time with the 50 crowd members no doubt putting him off.

That means it hasn’t been a good week for the Woods’ as his father pulled out of the Genesis Invitational recently due to suffering from flu-like symptoms and an undisclosed illness as he attempts to return to the big time.

Tiger Woods is “doing much better” after he had to withdraw from the Genesis Invitational with flu-like symptoms, his business partner says.

Woods, who was playing in his first official PGA Tour event since last April’s Masters, was only able to complete six holes in his second round.

The 48-year-old was driven off the course on a cart shortly after teeing off on the seventh hole in California.

He went to the clubhouse for two hours and was given intravenous fluids.

The 15-time major champion, who hosts the tournament at the Riviera Country Club, walked to his car before leaving the event.

His business partner Rob McNamara said Woods’ exit was unrelated to his long-standing injury problems and was “not physical at all”.

The American’s schedule has been limited since injuring his leg in a car crash in 2021 and he last played in December. He is still adapting after having ankle fusion surgery in April 2023.

The former world number one had back spasms towards the end of his first round on Thursday when he uncharacteristically shanked an approach shot on the 18th hole.

“His back is fine. It was all medical illness, dehydration… the symptoms are reversing themselves now that he’s had an IV [drip],” said McNamara.

“He had a little bit of a fever and was better during the warm-up, but then when he got out there and was walking and playing, he started feeling dizzy.

“Ultimately the doctors are saying he’s potentially got some type of flu and that he was dehydrated. He’s been treated with an IV bag and he’s doing much, much better and he’ll be released on his own here soon.”

Woods started his second round with a birdie at the par-five first hole, but dropped shots at the fourth and fifth and was two over par before he withdrew.

Spieth disqualified as Cantlay leads

Overnight leader Patrick Cantlay extended his advantage with a six-under-par 65 to reach 13 under, five shots clear of fellow American Luke List, Australian Jason Day and Canada’s Mackenzie Hughes who share second.

England’s Tommy Fleetwood is on four under alongside world number one Scottie Scheffler, while world number two Rory McIlroy has made the cut.

The four-time major champion struggled to a 74 in the first round, but recovered with a five-under-par 66 to put him at two under.

Meanwhile, former world number one Jordan Spieth was disqualified for the first time in his career after the 30-year-old American signed an incorrect scorecard.

The PGA Tour said Spieth signed for a three on the par-three fourth hole, when he had actually shot a four.

“Today, I signed for an incorrect scorecard and stepped out of the scoring area, after thinking I went through all procedures to make sure it was correct,” Spieth wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Rules are rules, and I take full responsibility. I love this tournament and golf course as much as any on the PGA Tour so it hurts to not have a run at the weekend.”

Among those to miss the cut of one over were American Justin Thomas and England’s Matthew Fitzpatrick.
